How does the diode system remove hair?
This laser targets the pigment located in the hair follicle and shaft. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle and this energy is converted to heat which results in damage to the hair follicle. This damage causes delayed re-growth of hair and, in most cases, permanent destruction of many of the hair follicles. Unlike electrolysis, which disables one hair follicle at a time, the laser reaches and treats hundreds of follicles at a time.
Do I need to grow the hair out before my consultation / treatment?
No, in fact we ask that you do shave the area you want treated. Shave the areas 2-3 days prior to the treatment. We are actually targeting the anatomical structures below the skin. Surface hair interferes with this process.

Are all laser hair removal machines the same?
No, our lasers have the highest power in the market in order to eliminate the hair growth cells more effectively and with faster treatments, and unlike other types of lasers our lasers can treat all skin types, even dark skin. The other main difference between lasers is the way the device cools the skin during treatment, which affects comfort levels and the level of protection for the skin. Our lasers are one of the few lasers that uses a fully integrated ultra-cold sapphire tip that is constantly in contact with the skin during the whole treatment, meaning the treatment is nearly painless and skin is highly protected . Most other lasers just have a separate tip that only cools the skin after the laser shot.
